I have a happy, social and cozy 3yr old cat. She uses the litter box. About 6 months ago started to pee on my bed. I was dumbfounded and tired of washing sheets, etc. almost every day. Then I came across Comfort Zone spray and it has worked as long as I spray my bed morning and night. However, now she's still peeing there. What ideas do you have?
I had the same problem with my 5 year old female cat (Donna) about three years ago. You should get the whole system including the comfort zone spray, the plug-ins (use them close to the bed), the essences (for the water) and clean the litter box every week using white vinegar, peppermint oil (from catfaeries) and water. Use only 3 inches of litter in the box and have it always clean. Use a cat litter without odors. If you have more cats, separate one cat litter box for herself and do not make her more nervous by screaming every time that she repeats the bad behavior. I have to tell you that even I spent like $600 for several months, it was worth it. I just keep using the mix for cleaning the box and mantain the cat litter low. Donna is the greatest cat. I love her so much and it was very important for her and for me overcome that crisis. Remember to take her to the vet and check that she does not have an illness and also make sure that the matress and the sheets do not have urine traces when you start using the system. Buy the poo poo clean also, it is very good.
My cats were going out of the box until I replaced the litter with Arm & Hammer Unscented "sand" type litter. They love it and it controls the odors better than the scented litters. Oh, and close your bedroom door. :-)
HELP! We have 3 grown cats and a cat door that is open during the day. Our cats come in at night, and the cat door is closed. My problem? There is a neighborhood cat that CONSTANTLY comes into our house via the cat door, eats our food, has even used the litter box, and REALLY upsets my cats and me. He has even got so sneaky that he pokes his head in to see if I am around! We have tried to discourage him in several ways, including spraying him with water while chasing him away. HE KEEPS COMING BACK! What can I do?
I've just suddenly gotten the pee-on-the-bed problem after decades of peaceful cat ownership. My 13-yr-old has just started this in response to my beginning to give my 2-yr-old more attention. The 2-er (spayed female) is attacking the 13-er (neutered male) after getting along well together for 2 yrs.
I can't get the mattress clean--I've used Feliway HEAVILY on the bed for 2 days--no improvement. I can't have this expensive bed ruined. I can't close it off b/c the cat boxes are in the bathroom off this bedroom. I'm desperate!
